Alicia Vikander’s Gorgeous Tousled Updo At 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards

Alicia Vikander totally slayed on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2016 on Jan. 17 and her beauty game was beyond on-point. We’re totally obsessing over her purposely tousled updo and light makeup look.

For the show, Alicia pulled her hair back into a tight bun, but left the front tousled and poofy for an effortless effect. Even with minimal and light makeup, the gorgeous actress looked stunning, sporting a brown smokey eye, subtle rose-pink blush and a light pink lip. The focus of the look was clearly on her gorgeous, embellished dress, and keeping the beauty so low-key was a great touch.

It was a big night at the show for Alicia, who won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as Gerde Wegener in The Danish Girl. She was up against some tough competition, too, as Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren are also nominated in the category.

2015 was a huge year for the 27-year-old, and her portrayal in the critically-acclaimed film has garnered a ton of buzz. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama at the Golden Globes earlier this month, and although she lost to Brie Larson, it was definitely a close call.
